Well, it's finally beginning to look a lot like Christmas around our house. 15 days to go!! We got our first snow last weekend and the boys enjoyed it at Grandpa Tom & Grandma Teresa's. Cooper LOVED to shovel and is ready at our house when the snow begins to fly again. The boys are both getting sleds for Christmas too, so I can hardly wait for the fun in a couple weeks.

Despite thoughts of cutting a real tree down this year, I caved and Cooper & I put up our fake one that I bought a few years ago. It's a fairly organized mess, so it didn't really take as long as I thought it might. 7 1/2 feet, 600 white lights, and gold, silver, and red balls later, it looks like I did it with an almost 3-year-old helper. The bottom third of the tree is all red balls...I wonder which color is Cooper's favorite! (The perfectionist in me rearranged the balls after the boys were in bed.)
After the tree was up, we had supper and did baths, and then went to look at Christmas lights. North of Jesup is a farm house with a yard full of lights. From Santas, to snowmen, to blinking reindeer. Cooper told me all about Santa, his deer, and Frosty the Snowman. I felt that we saw more Santas than nativity scenes, so when we got home we read the REAL Christmas story from Cooper's bible. We will continue to talk about the true meaning of Christmas the next two weeks, so he goes to daycare telling his friends about Jesus instead of Rudolph.
Sounds like we could get our first blizzard this weekend. I don't love the cold, but bring on the snow! We need to get a sledding hill built up by Christmas!
