These are the days of our lives...

Brother: 3 1/2 years old

C-constantly asking questions.
O-over-to-top helpful with chores.
O-offering a hand to "brother" when he needs it.
P-politely uses his manners.
E-everyday wants to learn more.
R-races to get where he needs to go.

Cooper loves to wear "jammies", chew gum, play baseball, wear sunglasses, eat cheese sticks, play with matchbox cars, sleep with his blankie, go to the park, ride his bike, watch movies, do "under doggies" on the swing, wear hats, and sleep in mommy's bed (which doesn't happen very often!)

His newest accomplishments: peeing while standing (he'll appreciate me someday for making this public announcement!), putting his own seat belt on/off, remembering our address (4th street in Jesup), and memorizing two new bible verses-"Trust in the LORD with all your heart." Proverbs 3:5 and "Children obey your parents for this is right." Ephesians 6:1

And the things that come out of his mouth:
"I had a dream last night mommy. About spiderman. And I wasn't scared!"
When I asked him if he knew that God made the rainbow, his response..."He just throwed it up there?!"  "My bunny (the bunny in our yard) was at my Gma's (70 miles away). It got there this morning (as if he had traveled!)"
"Freewheeler" (Four-wheeler)
"Holdy on" (Hold on)

Brother: 16 months

C-carefree, loveable baby.
A-always into something!
R-runs to keep up with "brother".
V-very stubborn at times.
E-eats and eats and eats!
R-rambunctious.

Carver loves to wrestle, play in water, kiss, say "hi", EAT, read books, climb the playground equipment, go down the slides, take his blankie everywhere, drink milk, ride in the wagon, throw balls (left-handed, we think!), scream, and beat up "brother".

His newest accomplishments: climbing (EVERYTHING!), biting, screaming, throwing tantrums, talking, getting on and off "brother's" three-wheeler, running in the sprinkler, shaking his head yes or no, and taking one nap a day. (Maybe by the time HE is 3 1/2 I can add...sleeping through the night!)

And the things that come out of his mouth: mommy, Coo (Cooper), cup, milk, water, ball, puppy, stuck, all done, down, Gma, Gpa, ni ni, no, bone (phone), car, poopy, potty, uh oh, nice, rock (meaning he wants to rock in the chair before bed), bloon (balloon), teacher (from the "Brown Bear" book), cow, side (outside/inside), nose, eyes, na na, cheesetick (cheese stick), truck, tractor, cracker, peaches.

Brother Fun at Farmer's Day

"If I'm not wet, I want to be!"

My little baseball player (notice the jammies!)

Picture Perfect!

Gma Teresa took this picture, and I entered it in the
Domestic Arts Show at Farmer's Day in Jesup in B & W.

It took 2nd place and won $3!

McDonalds and Eenie, Meanie, Miney, Moe!

Cooper LOVES McDonalds. (It's not like we're regulars or anything!) Sunday, on the way to church, he spotted a McDonalds and said, "Mommy, why is McDonalds by our church?" In a daze, I said, "I don't know Cooper." (He hates that answer.) Then he comes up with, "It should BE our church!"

Cooper has been trying to mater the "Eenie, Meanie, Miney, Moe" rhyme. He asks me for help but then gets frustrated because he struggles to repeat the lines after I say them. So, he is satisfied with the following:

Eenie, Meanie, Miney Moe!
Catch a tiger by his toe!
 If he hollers everyday
-he gets a dollar!!

(I can't help but laugh hysterically EVERY TIME!!)

Date night!

Cooper and I had the opportunity to go on a date last night! We went to Independence to see the new Cars 2 movie. I had been waiting for them to get it in 2D, because I don't really enjoy the 3D effects. My bosses own the theater so it was a free night of fun! Cooper and I shared popcorn and a bottled water and he also had some DOTS. He was a little chatty and needed one bathroom/more popcorn break, but otherwise did fairly well. There weren't too many people in the theater and he chose the far top corner to sit, so hopefully we didn't disrupt too many people. Cooper wore his Cars pajamas and sunglasses, and Mater hat. I wore my new Cars 2 t-shirt. We were all decked out! Cooper's only complaint was that the movie was a little loud. (I thought it was loud, long, and honestly wasn't really a fan of the story line, but it was fun!) We got home after 9 PM, so were exhausted and slept like rocks! Maybe we'll do it again soon!
