Snow-people!

Cooper says the big on is "the mommy" and the little one is "the Carver".

Snowed In!

Last weekend, the boys and I headed north before the snow storm hit. I had decided I'd rather be snowed in with Gma & Gpa than at home! We ventured out to "Bent N Dent" Friday morning, napped in the afternoon, and had neighbors over in the evening. Saturday, we visited Grandma Evelyn after her recent knee surgery. We spent the rest of the day napping and playing and came home Saturday night, tired!

Thanks for the haircut Gma!

Careful Gma! I like my ears!

Traditions!

I wouldn't consider myself a very sentimental person, but there are some traditions that are special to me, and some that I'd like to start with my own family. One tradition I've started is "Christmas Eve" Eve, the boys will get to open one gift-they'll soon find out, it will always be matching pajamas. Hopefully we can make the Christmas tree picture a tradition too!

Advice for Christmas 2012: Think SIMPLE!!

We did it again this year: stressed about what to get the kids for Christmas, spent too much, gave them too many unneccesary things...only to find out the favorites: rubber animals! (Probably $2 for the bunch at Walmart!)

Carver got fist-sized rubber farm animals and Cooper got dinosaurs-they LOVE them!

Carver thought he needed to hold all of them at the same time.

When it was time to throw wrapping paper away, we kept saying things like, "Make sure you're not throwing away something you shouldn't be." Carver hurried to get all his animals on the couch, and laid on top of them (I guess he wanted to make sure they didn't get tossed!)
