Oh, my lovely almost 2-year-old is getting into...well, EVERYTHING these days!
A few nights a week he gets to bathe alone (Cooper is getting to where he chooses when he does and doesn't take baths.) Last night was one of those nights. So I helped him in and got him settled with bubbles and farm animals. I shut the water off when he had enough, and went about cleaning up the kitchen (I can see him from almost anywhere in our little house.)
I'd had my back turned to him for awhile, so I went in to see what he was up to. He had my large pump bottles of shampoo AND conditioner down in the tub, pumping away. He told me it was SOAP and he needed MORE BUBBLES! (I didn't feel like the argument, and the tub was keeping him occupied, so I let him.) I did occasionally give him the evil eye after that, and he just got a grin on his face that I can't resist! (I hope he didn't waste TOO much!!)
Mornings at our house consist of Cooper watching "his shows" on IPTV and eating pancakes, and Carver doing whatever he wants...usually right under my feet. This morning, I couldn't even get in the shower and he needed his toothbrush. So, I gave it to him and got in. I wasn't in the shower but a few minutes, and I could literally SMELL toothpaste! I whipped open the curtain to find Carver standing on a kid's folding chair, (which I never even heard him bring into the bathroom!) helping himself at the sink, with his toothbrush and my toothpaste. I don't think TOO much was used/consumed. (I did consider calling Poison Control, but I don't think he'd actually eat enough to hurt himself.)
After I got him convinced to get out of the bathroom, I finished getting ready. When I was done, I walked out of the bathroom to find Carver with a tube of green paint...EVERYWHERE. Just last night we had painted, with out hands, every color. So, he helped himself to the paint. It was all over the kids table and all over him. Luckily it's washable. So, we got him cleaned up (I think he was more upset that he couldn't keep painting!).
Finally, when I think nothing else that could happen, I go into my room to get my coat and socks on, and I hear Carver say POOOOP.....POOOOOP!! I know FOR A FACT, this means more than, "I pooped in my diaper." Sure enough, I walk out to the kitchen to Carver with a handful of poop he'd pulled out of his diaper!
Needless to say, he got his hands washed a lot this morning. And he's gotten a lecture or two the last few days:)
What a morning!!!!! You deserve a GOLD STAR!!!!
